A memorial has been unveiled to champion motorcycle racer Craig Jones, who was killed in a high speed crash last year, in his home town.
A cherry blossom tree and a bench with a plaque have been placed outside his family’s home in Northwich, Cheshire.
The plaque reads: “World Supersport Racer – Living the Dream.”
His mother Yvonne said: “Craig never saw himself as a hero, he just loved what he did and knowing other people got the same happiness watching him was enough.
“He would never have imagined there would be a tree and bench for him in front of his mum’s house.”
Friends of the family organised the tribute to the 23-year-old rider who was tipped to become a world champion until his untimely death last August in a race at Brands Hatch.
