Ferrari have finally confirmed a two year contract with Fernando Alonso. Ferrari also announced that Kimi Raikkonen’s contract had been ended a year early. The price for this has not been released but I would imagine that Ferrari have had to pay his salary for next year and perhaps some sort of get out clause.Domenicali [...]

GP2 is considered one of the best breeding grounds for new F1 talent, little wonder then that rumours are circulating around Sebatien Loeb’s announced GP2 test drive. The BBC are reporting “Fernando Alonso will join Ferrari next season on a two-year contract worth up to £23m a year.” So if the BBC are reporting this as an imminent announcement it must happen. I am assuming it is being delayed as Kimi Raikkonen is in negotiations to release him from the Ferrari contract. [...]

itv.com/f1 have a report on the FIA president election race: “Ari Vatanen says he will take on F1’s vested interests if he wins the FIA presidency.” Personally I think it will be Jean Todt who wins as they want a business man and someone who doesn’t rock the boat. Todt is also backed by Bernie [...]

Another fantastic weekend of motorsport gone, can’t believe close it is to the finale of many of the ‘09 championships (and ‘09 in general if I’m honest!) My attention was split between the streets of Singapore (yeyy for Button, Alonso, Glock and Hmailton!) and the speedways of Dover where Jimmie Johnson unlocked his full potential to [...]
